Our interaction with Save the Children in Iraq began near the start of our mission. LDSC had not worked with them in Iraq before and we reached out to them through a former member of their team. Here we are at that very early stage over one year ago where we dialogued about livelihood projects they wanted to do to help Yazidi families, refugee families, and Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) families learn about poultry farming and gardening. One year later and after working on the proposal together, LDSC funded the proposal. Here we are about to embark on a visit to several families who are now gardening to grow their own food as a result of this project. This is the proposal team outside their classroom building (that they converted) in Sumel, just outside of Duhok in Northern Iraq. Here we are near the classrooms and in front of the sign that Save the Children made to highlight our joint partnership in this project. And here we are with the whole team...
